Apple’s next premium iPhones are expected to arrive within days, and pricing is now one of the biggest questions. A reported Vodafone Egypt listing has circulated online with prices for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
However, there is an important warning: Vodafone Egypt has since said that no such leak came from its side. That means the numbers should be treated as an unconfirmed pricing rumor, not as Apple’s final prices.
What the reported Vodafone leak showed
The alleged listing showed the iPhone 18 Pro at 98,000 Egyptian pounds and the iPhone 18 Pro Max at 105,000 Egyptian pounds. The same report also included a much more expensive figure for Apple’s rumored first foldable iPhone, although that device is not the focus of these two Pro models.
For comparison, the reported prices would represent an increase of roughly 10 to 11 percent over the corresponding iPhone 17 models in the Egyptian market.
| Model | Reported Egyptian price | Approximate change |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 18 Pro | EGP 98,000 | About 10% higher |
| iPhone 18 Pro Max | EGP 105,000 | About 11% higher |
These figures cannot be directly converted into US or Indian retail prices. Apple pricing changes from country to country because of taxes, currency rates, storage options, import costs and local pricing decisions.
Vodafone has disputed the leak
This is the most important part of the story.
The original claim was linked to an alleged Vodafone Egypt website listing. But Vodafone Egypt later told the publication that reported the story that no such leak had taken place on its end. The listing could not be independently verified while it was supposedly online.
Because of that, the EGP 98,000 and EGP 105,000 figures should not be described as confirmed Vodafone prices.
The situation can be summed up simply:
- The iPhone 18 Pro was reportedly shown at EGP 98,000.
- The iPhone 18 Pro Max was reportedly shown at EGP 105,000.
- Vodafone Egypt has denied that the alleged leak came from its side.
- Apple has not officially announced the prices yet.
This makes the numbers useful as a possible indication of where pricing could go, but not reliable enough to treat as final.
Could Apple still raise the iPhone 18 Pro price?
Even though the Vodafone claim is disputed, a price increase for the iPhone 18 Pro series has been expected in several recent reports.
Earlier estimates have generally pointed to higher prices because of increased component costs and other changes expected in Apple’s new Pro models. Some reports have suggested an increase of around $100, while other forecasts have predicted a larger jump.
The latest alleged Egyptian figures are actually less extreme than some earlier predictions. If the roughly 10 percent increase were applied to the US market, it could point to a starting price around $1,200 for the iPhone 18 Pro and around $1,300 for the Pro Max.
Those are calculations based on the reported percentage change, not confirmed Apple prices.
What this could mean for buyers in India
Indian buyers should be careful with early price conversions.
The Egyptian figures do not translate directly into Indian retail prices. India’s final price would depend on Apple’s local pricing, taxes, storage configuration and currency considerations.
Recent estimates have placed the iPhone 18 Pro in the roughly Rs 1.4 lakh range, while the Pro Max has been tipped at around Rs 1.5 lakh or higher. Other reports have suggested different figures, so there is still no confirmed India price.
| Market | Current status |
|---|---|
| Egypt | Alleged prices of EGP 98,000 and EGP 105,000 circulated |
| United States | Final price not officially confirmed |
| India | Final price not officially confirmed |
| Other markets | Expected to vary by taxes and local pricing |
For Indian customers, the safest approach is to wait for Apple’s official announcement rather than use a direct currency conversion from the Egyptian figures.
The price leak arrives just before Apple’s event
The timing of the alleged listing has added to the attention around the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. Apple is expected to hold its major iPhone event on September 9, 2026.
The Pro models are expected to be the main focus of the premium iPhone launch. Reports also point to Apple’s first foldable iPhone appearing at the same event, although Apple has not officially confirmed all of the rumored product names and details.
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are widely expected to receive hardware upgrades, including a new-generation chip and camera improvements. Reports have also pointed to changes to the display area, battery capacity and camera system.
None of those rumored specifications should be treated as final until Apple announces the phones.
Why the Pro Max could become more expensive
The Pro Max has traditionally sat above the Pro model in Apple’s lineup, mainly because of its larger display and battery and, in some generations, additional hardware differences.
If the reported EGP 105,000 price is accurate, the Pro Max would remain clearly more expensive than the regular Pro. The difference in the alleged Egyptian prices is EGP 7,000.
That does not tell us what the gap will be in other countries. Apple does not simply apply the same currency conversion everywhere.
The bigger question is whether Apple will keep the US starting prices close to the current generation or use the new hardware and higher costs to justify a noticeable increase.
The foldable iPhone is a separate pricing story
The same alleged Vodafone-related report attracted even more attention because it included a price of EGP 155,750 for Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone, sometimes referred to as the iPhone Ultra.
That figure would put the foldable far above the regular Pro models. However, the claim surrounding the Vodafone listing has also been disputed, and Apple has not officially confirmed the name or price of the rumored foldable.
The reported Pro and Pro Max figures therefore should not be used as proof of the foldable’s price either.
What we can say with confidence right now
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max have not yet received official pricing from Apple. The widely discussed Vodafone Egypt numbers are based on an alleged listing that Vodafone Egypt has denied.
That leaves buyers with a simple situation: a price increase remains possible, but the exact amount is still unknown.
The reported figures of EGP 98,000 for the iPhone 18 Pro and EGP 105,000 for the iPhone 18 Pro Max would suggest a moderate increase of around 10 to 11 percent over the previous generation in Egypt. But because the source of the listing has been disputed, these numbers should be viewed only as a leak.
Final verdict
The reported Vodafone pricing has given Apple fans a possible clue about what the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max could cost, but it has not settled the question.
The most notable figures are EGP 98,000 for the iPhone 18 Pro and EGP 105,000 for the iPhone 18 Pro Max. If those numbers were genuine, they would point to a smaller increase than some of the more aggressive price predictions seen earlier.
But Vodafone Egypt’s denial changes how seriously the leak can be taken. Until Apple announces its official prices, buyers should not treat these figures as confirmed.
With Apple’s September 9 event now close, the wait for the real price is almost over. The official announcement will finally show whether the iPhone 18 Pro lineup gets a modest increase or a much bigger price jump.
