![# Want the iPhone 18 Pro? Here’s How to Pre-Order It From Apple Apple has now confirmed that its next major iPhone event will take place on September 9, 2026. The company is widely expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at the event, along with Apple's first foldable iPhone. ([Reuters][1]) If you are planning to buy the iPhone 18 Pro directly from Apple, the most important thing to know is that pre-orders have **not started yet**. Reports currently point to September 12 for pre-orders and September 18 for retail availability, but Apple has not officially confirmed those dates yet. ([MacRumors][2]) ### When can you pre-order the iPhone 18 Pro? Apple's September 9 event is the first confirmed date in the launch schedule. The company has not yet published an official iPhone 18 Pro pre-order announcement. Based on the current launch timeline being reported, pre-orders are expected to open on Saturday, September 12. The phones are then expected to reach customers and stores on Friday, September 18. These dates should be treated as expected until Apple confirms them. ([MacRumors][3]) | Event | Date | Status | | ------------------------------------- | ------------------ | ------------------------ | | Apple iPhone event | September 9, 2026 | Confirmed | | Expected iPhone 18 Pro pre-order date | September 12, 2026 | Not officially confirmed | | Expected retail availability | September 18, 2026 | Not officially confirmed | The exact pre-order opening time has also not been officially announced. Apple has traditionally opened iPhone pre-orders early in the morning in the United States, but buyers should wait for Apple's own announcement rather than rely on an assumed time. ### Where can you pre-order directly from Apple? The simplest option is Apple's online store. Apple also normally allows customers to order through the Apple Store app. [Apple Store](https://www.apple.com/store/?utm_source=chatgpt.com) For buyers in India, Apple's local online store is the relevant place to check availability, pricing and delivery options. [Apple India](https://www.apple.com/in/?utm_source=chatgpt.com) Apple has used both its website and Apple Store app for previous iPhone pre-orders. During the iPhone 17 launch, for example, Apple opened pre-orders through apple.com and the Apple Store app. ([Apple][4]) ### What you should do before pre-orders open Getting everything ready before the pre-order window can save time. New iPhones can attract heavy demand at launch, so it is better not to start entering payment and delivery information after pre-orders have already begun. Before the iPhone 18 Pro becomes available, check these details: * Sign in to your Apple Account and make sure your account information is correct. * Decide whether you want the iPhone 18 Pro or iPhone 18 Pro Max and choose your preferred color and storage. * Check your payment method and delivery address before launch day. * If you have an older iPhone, check Apple's Trade In value before placing the order. Apple's store also offers trade-in options and financing choices in supported markets. ([Apple][5]) ### How to pre-order from Apple Once Apple opens pre-orders, the process should be straightforward. Start by opening the Apple Store website or Apple Store app and selecting the iPhone 18 Pro. Choose the model, color and storage configuration you want. If Apple offers multiple buying options, you can then select the payment method or financing option available in your market. If you have an older device, Apple may also let you select Trade In during the purchase process. You will need to provide information about the old device so Apple can estimate its trade-in value. After entering your delivery information and completing payment or financing, review the order carefully before confirming it. The final screen should show the expected delivery or pickup date. That date is particularly important because delivery estimates can change as launch-day demand increases. ### Should you use the Apple Store app? The Apple Store app is worth having ready if you want to order quickly. Apple has used the app as an official pre-order channel for previous iPhone launches, alongside its website. ([Apple][4]) Using the app also gives you another way to place the order if the website becomes slow during the launch period. There is no need to use unofficial ordering websites simply to get access to the phone. Apple's own store is the direct option for customers who want to buy from Apple. ### What is known about the iPhone 18 Pro? Apple has not yet officially revealed the iPhone 18 Pro's specifications. The September 9 event is expected to provide the first confirmed details about the phone. Current reports point to the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max being the main traditional flagship iPhones at this year's event. A separate foldable iPhone is also expected to make its debut. ([Reuters][1]) The standard iPhone 18 is reportedly expected at a later date rather than alongside the Pro models. This would represent a change from Apple's usual approach of launching the main iPhone family together. ([Stuff][6]) Because Apple has not officially announced the complete specifications, buyers should be careful with leaked claims about cameras, battery capacity, processor details and pricing. ### What about the price? Apple has not announced the official iPhone 18 Pro price yet. Some current reports expect the iPhone 18 Pro to start around $1,199 in the United States, but this is not an Apple-confirmed price. ([Tom's Guide][7]) The final price can also vary significantly between countries because of taxes, currency conversion and local pricing. For Indian buyers, the safest approach is to wait for Apple's India store to list the phone rather than converting the US price and assuming that will be the Indian retail price. ### Do not confuse pre-order with release day A pre-order lets you place the order before the phone officially goes on sale. It does not necessarily mean you receive the phone immediately. If the currently reported schedule is correct, customers would place their orders around September 12 and receive the phone from September 18 onward. Again, those dates are expected rather than officially confirmed by Apple. ([MacRumors][2]) Ordering early can be useful if you want a specific storage option or color. Later orders may receive a later delivery estimate if initial stock sells quickly. ### Final verdict If you want the iPhone 18 Pro directly from Apple, the best approach is to prepare before the pre-order window opens. Apple's September 9, 2026 event is confirmed, while September 12 is currently the expected pre-order date and September 18 is the expected retail launch date. ([Reuters][1]) When Apple officially opens pre-orders, you should be able to order through the **Apple Store website or Apple Store app**. Have your Apple Account, payment details, delivery address and any Trade In information ready beforehand. Most importantly, do not treat leaked prices or specifications as final. Apple has not officially unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro yet. The September 9 event will provide the confirmed details, and Apple's own store will be the place to check the final price, configurations, availability and delivery dates.
